Emb-i-pack was created in 2008 from a two-fold observation:
• The need to change our industrial approaches, with the environment and control of natural resources becoming a key stake in modern times
• Strong demand in terms of ethics and regulations for companies
Thanks to collecting and reclaiming, we provide support to companies from all sectors in collecting their dirty empty containers, to give them a second life while still reconciling production and respect for the environment.
Be the leader in France in treating DEIC (Commercial and Industrial Packaging Waste) with rigid hollow bodies.
Create real closed-loop circular economy models.
Integrate industrial packaging into a controlled and responsible reclamation cycle, by creating an interdependent loop for recycling with a streamlined circuit.
Propose these circular economy loops to:
Packaging manufacturers
Packaging users (distributors, fillers)
Producers of DEIC (Commercial and Industrial Packaging Waste)
Collecting and reclaiming a wide range of plastic waste from companies of all sectors:
- DEIC (Commercial and Industrial Packaging Waste) with rigid hollow bodies
- Production scrap
Giving a second life to the waste collected:
- Sale of recycled or renovated packaging
- Sale of recycled material, in the form of flakes or granules.
Since 2008, Emb-i-pack has been deploying many resources to support its expansion. With national coverage, our teams have grown over the years, and have invested in environmental compliance at the heart of our networks and proximity collection centres.

According to the reference European Directive 94/62/EC dated 20 December 1994, the priority is the reduction at the source of packaging waste, followed by the reuse or recycling thereof, with a global objective of reclamation. In France, the State and local authorities have the responsibility of implementing the means required to achieve this.
On 11 February 2004, European Directive 2004/12/EC reinforced the objectives for the prevention and the reclamation of packaging waste, while still harmonising the initiatives in order to avoid competitive distortions within the Community.
Then we had to wait until 2018, when the European Packaging Waste Directive was revised, for each member state to pass legislation on the subject. In France, it is the AGEC Law (Anti-Wastage and Circular Economy), that specifies the following points:
- Eco-design for plastic packaging
- A recycling rate for Plastic Packaging of 50% in 2025
- Setting up of an EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) for marketers in order to support the sector by 2025.
- Reincorporating recycled material into the manufacture of packaging.
Our skills in legal securing
Thanks to its expertise, Emb-i-pack gives new life to industrial packaging and plastic waste, and offers 3 virtuous reclamation possibilities:
« Any operation through which substances, materials or products that are not waste are used again for a use that is identical to that for which it was designed. »
« Any reclamation operation through which the waste, including organic waste, is retreated in substances, materials or products for the purpose of their initial function or for other purposes. »
Either for the manufacture of new similar containers (Reincorporation)
Or for the manufacture of other products (Recycling)
Our skills today allow us to manufacture recycled plastic materials for the manufacturers of packaging, and to reuse them.
